Healthy teeth, a functioning bite and your wishes for your appearance belong together. Our planning begins by getting to know your situation.

Our teeth are part of our expression and personality. They deserve care, attention and dentistry that considers health, function and aesthetics together.
Whether you come for preventive care, have symptoms or would like to change something about your smile, we want to understand what matters to you. You are also welcome to speak openly about uncertainty or anxiety about visiting the dentist .
During the examination, we assess your teeth, gums, existing restorations and function. This assessment forms the basis of a plan intended to suit your starting point.

Our practice name
Why SMILE
meets DESIGN?
SMD stands for SMILE meets DESIGN – a smile meeting design. The name connects dentistry with thoughtfully designed practice rooms.
Dr. Niusha Barahmand Pour designed her practice’s logo herself. Her own handwriting in the word “meets” was incorporated digitally into the logo.

You will also encounter design in our surroundings: in the warm materials, the lighting and the carefully chosen details of our practice in the Kreishaus Galerie. The grand piano in reception is part of this personal touch, too.
Our rooms are intended to give you space to arrive, settle and leave everyday life behind for a moment. For us, this also includes how we meet you: with time for your questions and a conversation as equals.

Before we meet
Frequently asked questions about the practice
Is SMILE meets DESIGN exclusively an aesthetic dental practice?
No. Our services include preventive care, professional teeth cleaning, preserving teeth and aesthetic dentistry. We care for you both at regular check-ups and when you have specific treatment wishes. Our services overview introduces the individual areas.
Can I come even if I do not yet have a particular treatment in mind?
Yes. You can start with a question or a wish. Based on an examination, we will explore whether treatment would be appropriate and what options are available.
What does preserving tooth structure mean in treatment planning?
Before a procedure, we assess which healthy tooth structure could be preserved and what alternatives are available. How much change would be needed depends on the findings. The term does not promise that every treatment can be carried out without a procedure.
Can I discuss an existing treatment plan?
You are welcome to bring any existing documents. We will go through your questions and explain which additional findings would be needed for our own assessment.
