What is immediate?
The implant is placed on the day the tooth is removed.
An immediate implant is placed on the same day that the tooth is removed. This describes the timing of implant placement. Whether a crown can be fitted or the implant loaded straight away is a separate decision.
For dental trainees & teams
With immediate placement, the implant is inserted directly after tooth removal, in the area of the fresh tooth socket.
An immediately placed implant does not necessarily carry a loaded crown straight away. A temporary restoration, chewing forces and final replacement are planned separately.
Bone, soft tissue, infection and achievable stability are assessed. Not every fresh socket is suitable for immediate implant placement.

Selected situations in which anatomy, tissue condition and achievable stability are appropriate.
An individually planned temporary restoration, reviews and later or, where suitable, earlier loading.

Immediate loading means functional loading with a restoration within one week of implant placement. It is a separate decision and does not automatically follow immediate implant placement.
A question to discuss with Dr. med. dent. Niusha Barahmand Pour:
Which placement and loading times make sense for my findings?
At the practice, the findings, personal wishes and possible next steps are discussed through a consultation and examination.
Different replacement options can be discussed before planned tooth removal.
